I posted this picture on Facebook the other day because I truly adore Christmas ribbon candy! I also love the tins of hard candy because they always remind me of my maternal grandfather Pilar and of my paternal grandmother Ursula. I haven't put up my Christmas tree or decorated my home except for the opening that separates my kitchen from dining room. I've had a lot of challenges this past year with my health and I've learned that I am truly a chubby rubber ball that keeps bouncing back.
I am so excited to try and get into my garage tomorrow to get my tree out of the box. Yes, its a fake tree but its a revolving tree! They are truly grand. Sadly, I am severely allergic to real trees but I would give anything if I weren't. Nothing can replace the scent of a real tree. Another reason I am excited to get in to my garage is that Marshall and I are having a yard sale on Sunday. We are going to get rid of everything that we haven't unpacked from our move last year. It's been a year since we moved to our home and obviously I haven't needed anything that is inside those boxes!
I just had to post a picture of my favorite Misfit toy. I've never known why she is considered a misfit! Maybe its because she doesn't have a nose. Anyway, Marshall and I watched Rudolph even though we have the DVD but its just not the same if you can watch it whenever you want to! I've always felt that they should show Rudolph a bit later in the month but you can't fight programming I suppose. About ten years ago, Marshall bought me the set of Christmas ornaments of all the characters from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and I was so thrilled when he presented the large box to me. He always does stuff like that!
I'm recovering from a fall I had a couple of days before Thanksgiving at my sister's house. I actually fell on the front steps at her front door. I have a stress fracture in my left ankle and I popped my left elbow out of joint which hurts like the dickens when I bump it on something. I didn't sprain my ankle left or right, as I stepped down, my toes almost met the front of my leg. Ouch. I am still not able to walk barefoot or with out wearing my orthopedic crocs wedges. I know it will heal but my gosh, I wish it could have happened at another time!
I can't wait to start visiting some of your blogs as I have been out of the loop for so very long. I miss everyone but sometimes life interrupts enjoyable pleasures and you have to put those aside for a while. I hope that when I come to visit, that I will find all of you doing well and doing what you do best and that is making someones day extra special with your words and pictures.
Holiday Wishes

Oh, I'm so sorry! I was so glad to see a post from you, but I'm sorry you had a fall.
I hope you have an injury free Christmas!
Hi Deanna! I saw that you left a comment for another blogger and i thought, OH, I'll hop over and say hello to Deanna! Sorry to hear about your foot. I know how painful it is to bend your foot sideways and stretch all the muscles, I can only imagine how your foot feels bending it the way you did.
I've never heard of a revolving tree, what fun! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and good luck with your sale!
Nice post thanks for sharing! happy holidays...blessings soray
